The mission of Power of One Chiropractic, PLLC  is to educate and empower every individual that walks in our door with the knowledge that they are responsible for their own health. We want to be a team player in their health decisions. Sometimes it’s difficult to be healthy on our own and we want our patients to feel that they can come to us for assistance. Our office is warm and friendly; you may often see patients visiting with one another or with the staff. We like to have a good time in our office but, at the same time, we are very serious in providing quality care. Our patients feel very comfortable speaking with us, asking questions and receiving genuine care.

Please come in and see what we are all about; you be welcomed with open arms, smiling faces and caring hearts.

Dr. Kimberly K. Waters

Dr. Kimberly K. Waters was born in Massachusetts and raised in mid-coast Maine and is a 2nd generation chiropractor. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Maine at Farmington in 1993. Her father, Dr. Stephen G. Knowlton, a dentist in Westbrook, Maine, is ultimately responsible for getting her “into the chiropractic profession”. As a dentist for 24 years, he developed pain in his hands and wrists. His receptionist, Robyn, encouraged him to seek the help of her chiropractor. He did and found great relief from his pain. He was so happy, that he kept telling Dr. Kim that she needed to be a chiropractor. He lectured her so much that she ended up being irritated by the whole chiropractic profession and in an effort to get him off of her back, (no pun intended) told him that if he loved it so much that he should be a chiropractor himself. Needless to say, Dr. Steve did that very thing. He sold his dental practice and house, moved to Georgia with his wife Pat and started his chiropractic education at Life University in Marietta, Georgia.

Dr. Kim visited him while he was in session at school, and quickly realized that her father had been right. Chiropractic was a great way to work with people and help them to feel better and be able to continue on with their lives in a better way. She soon found herself enrolling at Life University and attended school with her father. It was a wonderful experience to be able to go to school with her father, see him in the hallways as they passed from class to class and to study with him. It was a great father-daughter bonding experience at the same time learning how to help others in a great, non-invasive way.

Dr. Steve graduated in December of 1997 and Dr. Kim received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in December of 2000. She has practiced in Marietta, GA and Sharpsburg, GA. In these two practices, she was hands-on in everything pertaining to the business of chiropractic from the front desk operations, insurance and billing, x-rays, orthotics, exams, back office operations and of course the most important of all, patient care.

Dr. Kim met her husband, Keith, in January 1999 while in chiropractic school. They married in 2001 and have three beautiful daughters, all of whom have benefited from chiropractic care. They moved to New Hampshire in April 2006. She started working at Elm Chiropractic Center in June of 2007, formed Power of One Chiropractic, PLLC and purchased the practice on September 12, 2007. She retained the name of Elm Chiropractic Center as it has been in existence since 1968, started by Dr. Walter Sevigny, who retired in 2005. Dr. Glenn Huff, having worked with Dr. Sevigny for a couple of years, purchased the practice when he retired. Dr. Huff decided to work in law enforcement full-time, however and sold the practice to Dr. Kim.
